Overview of Cultural Awareness
This course is designed to help increase participants’ confidence and understanding around cross-cultural issues. The programme achieves this by briefly exploring UK culture and aspects of other cultures and considering the impact that this has on behaviours, attitudes and expectations.
Objectives of Cultural Awareness
By the end of the course, delegates will have:
- An understanding of the importance and impact of culture in their own life and work
- An overview of cultural differences and an introduction to specific cultures
- An appreciation of the effect of cultural difference(s) in the workplace, and the
- benefits that a diverse workforce can bring
- Increased confidence gained through raised awareness
