Equality and Diversity >> Diversity in Workplace Practice
Overview
This workshop is designed to assist attendees in dealing confidently with equality and diversity issues that might arise in the workplace, and is essentially a ‘second step’ for those wishing to contribute to a more inclusive environment.
Objectives
- Understand and be able to give examples of the impact and importance of diversity (using case studies), separating fact from myth
- Be able to adopt a positive approach to real issues that might arise with customers and other staff
- Understanding the key points of current legislation
- Be able to recognise and know what to do if they encounter inappropriate behaviour
- Understanding responsibilities in working towards an inclusive environment
